SmartPhoton Web Flasher

Flash SmartPhoton firmware to a supported ESP32-S3 directly from your browser.

Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer. Connect the ESP32-S3 by USB, then select the correct firmware and click its install button.

MG ZS EV — ESP32-S3-BOX

Public firmware without Wi-Fi credentials, private MQTT settings or a preconfigured OBD MAC address. After flashing, configure the module from its Wi-Fi setup portal: SmartPhoton-MGZS-xxxx.

Browser not supported. Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer. This page must be opened over HTTPS.

After installation

  1. Wait for the ESP32 to reboot.
  2. Connect to SmartPhoton-MGZS-xxxx.
  3. Open http://192.168.4.1/.
  4. Configure Wi-Fi, MQTT and the OBD BLE dongle MAC address.

Default setup AP password: smartphoton.

Kostal Proxy — SmartPhoton Remote Bridge

Factory firmware for a new SmartPhoton Remote Bridge using the supported ESP32-S3 DevKitC-1-N16R8 hardware. No site Wi-Fi credentials, Tailscale identity or Kostal target addresses are preconfigured.

Browser not supported. Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer. This page must be opened over HTTPS.

Select this firmware only for the SmartPhoton Remote Bridge ESP32-S3 DevKitC-1-N16R8. Installing it can erase an existing device configuration.

After installation

  1. Wait for the ESP32-S3 to reboot.
  2. Connect to SmartPhoton-Setup-xxxxxx.
  3. Open http://192.168.4.1/.
  4. Configure Wi-Fi, Tailscale and the G3/KSEM TCP targets.
  5. Save the configuration and verify the Web and Modbus proxy health.

Default setup AP password: smartphoton.
